Final Liturgical / Axiomatic Corpus
This controlled corpus is canonically located in Part X of the Publication Master. It gathers compressed doctrinal forms without elevating every included line to the same canonical status.
Editorial Status and Use
Purpose: This corpus gathers the doctrine’s intentionally compressed forms into one controlled reference. It distinguishes canon from explanatory axiom, module liturgy, mnemonic condensation, and developmental language. Collection here does not elevate every line to universal creed.
Canonical: Text fixed by the Canonical Concordance for repeated doctrinal use. Alteration requires an explicit canonical revision.
Axiomatic: A mature doctrinal proposition intended to orient interpretation. Axioms remain subject to corrigibility and do not function as claims of omniscience.
Liturgical: Heightened language designed for invocation, recitation, ritual, mnemonic use, or chapter closure. Parallelism and repetition are intentional in this register.
Module condensation: A compact three-line or similarly brief formulation belonging to a particular developed doctrine. It summarizes locally and does not compete with the canonical refrain.
Developmental: Earlier language preserved for provenance. It may be quoted historically but should not silently re-enter the publication master as current canon.
I. The Canonical Refrain
CANONICAL
Entropy abides.
Gradients exist.
Agency recurs.
The Work remembers.
Required epistemic qualification
The Work remembers.
The Work forgets.
The Work is not omniscient.
The qualification governs interpretation without replacing the fourth line of the canonical refrain. “The Work remembers” names consequential continuity. It does not establish a cosmic witness, moral ledger, providence, or perfect archive.
II. The Twelve Axioms
AXIOMATIC
1. Reality is participatory.
Conscious beings encounter reality through embodied attention, interpretation, relationship, and action. Their participation changes conditions at some scale, while the world continues to exceed any individual perspective or preference.
2. Entropy abides.
Finite structures drift. Bodies age, memory changes, institutions accumulate wear, intensity disperses, and every durable form requires some measure of maintenance. Entropy provides the condition within which continuity must be made.
3. Finitude gives consequence weight.
Duration sets no final measure of significance. A brief act can redirect a life. Temporary refuge can preserve someone through crisis, while relationships of limited duration may shape later choices for decades. Even a single moment of witness can alter what becomes survivable. Meaning emerges through what participation changes while conditions remain available to be changed.
4. Coterminous contact creates ethical consequence.
Distinct participants meet at boundaries shaped by body, language, role, power, intimacy, memory, and recognition. A boundary identifies where contact occurs and where one participant’s action may enter another participant’s conditions. Ethics becomes necessary when that contact can alter capacity, safety, meaning, opportunity, or the shared field.
5. Participation carries onus.
Onus names the burden of response that becomes legible when participation occurs within consequential asymmetry. Greater authority, knowledge, access, capacity, dependence, vulnerability, or exposure can change what a participant reasonably owes to the situation. The relevant gradient is doctrinal: an ethical description of unequal reach, exposure, or cost. Onus remains proportionate to finite capacity and reachable intervention.
6. Stewardship is the disciplined use of power.
Stewardship governs the use of concentrated reach. Power becomes trustworthy through care for consequence, clarity of role, proportionality, transparency, and accountability. A steward uses influence to preserve viable conditions and expand the agency of others. Greater authority therefore carries greater exposure to review, correction, and ethical interruption.
7. Consent legitimizes transformative contact.
Transformative contact requires willing participation with enough information, freedom, specificity, and present awareness to make the choice meaningful. Consent continues through calibration because people and conditions change during contact. The threshold remains ethically alive for as long as the interaction can alter the participant.
8. Compassion must remain functional.
Care is measured through what it helps preserve, repair, relieve, or make survivable. Emotional awareness informs the response while practical judgment selects the form of help suited to the conditions. Compassion earns ethical force through effect.
9. Truth requires corrigibility.
Perception is partial, memory is mutable, language compresses experience, and observation can alter the field being observed. Conviction remains useful when it stays reachable by evidence, consequence, challenge, and revision. The doctrine expects correction as part of continued reality contact.
10. Attention is an ethical force.
Attention selects what receives witness, status, reinforcement, interpretation, and memory. Ritual, performance, aesthetics, and spectacle can concentrate that force with unusual intensity. Anyone who organizes attention also inherits responsibility for the conditions and residue that organization creates.
11. The Work remembers imperfectly.
Participation leaves residue in bodies, relationships, institutions, environments, habits, stories, and material conditions. Some residue persists, some changes through interpretation, and some disappears as memory itself passes through entropy. The Work names consequential continuity without claiming perfect record or omniscience.
12. Local coherence sustains continuation.
Finite participants preserve meaning through work performed within reachable conditions. Maintenance, repair, rest, release, adaptation, and renewed effort can each restore enough coherence for participation to continue. The scale may be modest while the consequence remains real.

X. Developmental and Superseded Forms
HISTORICAL / NONCANONICAL
These lines belong to the doctrine’s drafting history. They are retained for provenance and may appear in an editorial appendix or historical discussion. They should not function as competing terminal formulas in the publication master.
| Developmental wording | Concordant treatment |
|---|---|
| The Work Will Be Done. | Superseded as a terminal slogan by “The Work remembers.” |
| Entropy Abides. | Normalize current canonical use to sentence case: “Entropy abides.” |
| The work remembers. | Capitalize Work when naming the doctrinal concept. |
| The Work remembers imperfectly. | Retain as explanatory axiom and epistemic qualification, not as the fourth line of the refrain. |
| Agency is the effort of onus. | Retain, if desired, as a secondary poetic proposition. Mature doctrine distinguishes agency as capacity from onus as burden of response. |
| Exhalation is participation in entropy without surrender to it. | Earlier formulation. Mature foundation wording is “Exhalation is participation with entropy.” |
| Entropy abides. / The Work continues. / Exhale. | Original ending of the foundation Litany of Exhalation. Preserve historically; use the canonical refrain in the concordant publication form. |
| Still, we continue. | Developmental liturgical language. It may remain as a local phrase but should not replace the canonical refrain. |
XI. Concordant Recitation Map
For publication and ritual use, the hierarchy of compressed forms is:
- Canonical refrain: Entropy abides. / Gradients exist. / Agency recurs. / The Work remembers.
- Twelve axioms: the doctrine’s mature orientation propositions.
- Embodied kernel: Always exhale. / Exhalation is participation with entropy. / Pressure and release. / One breath. Then another.
- Module litanies: local ritual closures belonging to their developed doctrines.
- Module condensations: local mnemonic summaries that remain subordinate to the canonical refrain.
- Developmental fragments: provenance material, quoted as historical language rather than current canon.
